French Tulips blog train
My second post today. I'm so glad that Blogger allows you to schedule posts. Otherwise I'd have spent my entire day today at the computer writing posts! :)
This month's Stuff to Scrap blog train is called French Tulips. When I first saw the colors, I got excited. I loved the mix of blues, greens, and red. I created a mini-kit for you (7 papers and 13 elements). I've seen what the other designers are offering and you're going to get some great stuff!

And here is the list of the rest of the designers taking part in this month's blog train. If a particular designer doesn't have her portion listed, please check back. We're spread all across the globe. Also, be sure to snag stuff by the 15th. After that date, designers are free to put their portion in their store(s).

Love Ya, part IV
Last week I was all full of Olympic fever. I think I've OD'd on coverage though. I have to say that I'm looking forward the return of "normal" programming.
The next couple of days are busy ones around here. Today I've got the last part of Love Ya for you and tonight my portion of the Stuff to Scrap blog train, French Tulips, will be available. Tomorrow there are all sort of goodies for you: my portion of a different blog train (Shine On), a big announcement about Shel Belle Scraps, and announcements about exciting changes at Stuff to Scrap. Later this week I'll have a sneak peek at March's kit, Buttercup. Whew! It's going to be a crazy few days!
Today you get the last portion of February's kit, Love Ya. Dawn created a beautiful layout using it.

And here is the final portion of this month's kit. This week you get the final three papers, eight elements, and the symbols portion of the alpha. Be sure you pick this up before next Sunday afternoon. Then it's off to the store! And (hint, hint) if you've created any layouts using this kit, I'd love to see them. Post them in the Stuff to Scrap gallery, won't you? :)

Love ya, part III
I have a confession to make: I am completely addicted to the 2010 Winter Olympics. I usually use my evenings to digiscrap. That definitely had not been the case the past week. I'm especially addicted to all things skiing, snowboarding, or speed skating-related. Shaun "Animal" White amazed me with his mad snowboarding skills. I love that my hometown girl, Lindsey Vonn, won gold. I love Apolo Ohno, too (although I get nervous watching him race--especially last night). And I loved watching Shani Davis and Chad Hedrick, too. They've both improved and matured since the 2006 games. On the figure skating end of things, Evan Lysacek's performances were brilliant.
Sandy (a.k.a. Louisiana Lady) has been busy making some beautiful QPs and BB pages for you. I'll have some of each available for you later this week, so be sure you stop by and snag those.
Ginger has a QP available for you today on her blog. Be sure you to snag it--and leave some love when you do.
Here is this week's portion of the kit. This week you get three more papers, eight more elements, and the lowercase portion of the alpha.

New in store: 100 Days of School 2010
Happy 100th day of school, Ginger! Yep, it's that time of year again--the 100th day of school. Ginger first came up with the idea of doing a kit to celebrate the occasion last year. A few months back, I asked if she'd be interested in having me do a follow-up kit. She was excited by the idea and suggested doing it in a different color palette. We agreed upon a palette and I set off on designing it.
My CT did a fantastic job creating layouts with it. They never cease to amaze me with their creativity. Check out what they've done:

And here is my layout. I created this a couple of weeks ago during a speed scrap hosted by Andrea in the Stuff to Scrap forums. And, if you really like the layout--hint, hint--be sure that you're signed up for the Stuff to Scrap newsletter as it will be a freebie in our next issue. :) You can sign up on the right hand side of the Stuff to Scrap blog.
Here's a preview of the entire kit. (Images are linked to the store.)

I also created a set of coordinating cardstock for the kit.

Love Ya, part II
Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you're able to spend the day with the ones you love. I just got back from a girl's weekend with two of my best friends from college. We got pedicures, did some shopping, had a great dinner, and a sleepover. (Yep, we're in our mid-30s and we had a sleepover. You're never too old for those, right?)
Before I get to the layouts and this week's portion of the kit, I wanted to let you know that I've settled on a palette for the March monochromatic kit. I thought about doing green, but then I realized that with all the St. Patrick's Day-themed kits that will be coming out, it might be nice to do something other than green. I suggested yellow to my CT and one member, Juli, got super-excited about it. She loves yellow. So...the March monochromatic kit will be yellow. I'm still trying to settle on a name. Suggestions?
Now, on to today's portion of the kit. My CT did a great job with this kit. Look at what else they've created.
And here is my layout with the kit. I did this for the February recipe challenge in the Stuff to Scrap forum. It's a picture of my grandparents on their wedding day in 1949 and at their 60th anniversary party last year. The alpha I used was from my kit, Angela's Wedding, which is available at Stuff to Scrap.

Zebralicious
Michelle of Just for You Digi-Scraps recently asked the STS Designers if anyone would like to guest CT for her and I jumped at the chance. It's always fun to play with other designers' kits and the fun, bright patterns lifted my mood after a rough week.
When I saw the preview of the kit, I knew exactly which picture I needed to use. It's taken of my niece about a year ago when she managed to get into the bag of shredded paper that hadn't been recycled yet. She was having a little too much fun with the scraps! (I used Red Leaf Digiscrapping Page in a Pinch 26 [rotated] for my layout.)
And here's a preview of the entire kit. It's huge--31 papers and 56 elements. You can click on the picture to be taken to the store where you can purchase this super cute kit!
Head on over to the store and check it out!

New Kit: Love Ya
From the very bottom of my heart, I cannot thank you enough for all the kind comments and prayers you have sent my way over the past few days. We held the visitation Friday night and the funeral yesterday morning; it's been a tough week (to say the least), but I know that my grandfather is in a better place and I will see him again some day.
Let's move on to happier things, shall we? :)
I've got a new monochromatic kit for you this month. I used a palette of soft pinks and named the kit "Love Ya." It features lots of hearts, ribbons, and flowers. I designed the kit with the Valentine's Day holiday in mind, but I tried to include some more general papers and elements too, so that you could scrap pictures of just about anything. (Well, anything that featured pink.) My CT did a great job working with the kit and have shown just how versatile it can be. Check out their work.
I had started working on my layout but haven't had a chance to finish it yet. I'll be sure to share it with you next week
Here's a preview of the entire kit that you'll be collecting over the course of the next four weeks. This week, you get three papers, nine elements, and the uppercase portion of the alpha. The alpha was created using the font Love Letters. Be sure you pick this portion of the kit up by next Sunday because then it will be gone!

Sad news and a sneak peek
When I posted the last piece of Frosty on Sunday, I had no way of knowing that this week was going to be an extremely sad one for me and my family.
Long-time readers of my blog know that my grandfather has had some health issues for a while now. Shortly after I posted the last piece of Frosty on Sunday, he was rushed to the hospital with respiratory distress. He was still mentally sharp but his body was failing. He decided that he was ready and on Wednesday afternoon, with all of us gathered at his bedside, he passed away. My grandfather was a remarkable man and I'll miss him greatly (I already do), but I know that he's in a better place. I am comforted by the fact that I have so many wonderful memories of him and will see him again some day.
Needless to say, I haven't had time to create palette options for the March kit. I do have some ideas and hope to post them early next week so you can vote on them.
Finally, I've got a sneak peek for you of February's monochromatic kit, Love Ya. I'll be back on Sunday with the first piece of the kit for you.

Build a Kit: Dots Crazy
Like we did in January, some of the Stuff to Scrap designers participated in creating a Build a Kit components so you can pick and choose what you'd like. Since we're all using the same color palette, everything mixes and matches with one another and you can build quite a kit!
I've been hooked on circles and polka dots lately, so I did a set of 10 papers and called it "Dots Crazy." Here's a preview of what I created:
To see what else is available in February's Build a Kit, click on the flyer below to be taken to the Build a Kit section of the Stuff to Scrap store.

Sweet as Candy
This month, the Stuff to Scrap designers came together to create a sweet-filled mega kit, Sweet as Candy. The kit is filled with soft colors and all sorts of great candy-themed embellishments (suckers, cupcakes, ice cream cones) and regular embellishments (word art, buttons, ribbons, etc.). The kit includes 56 papers, 110 embellishments, 2 full alphas, and 2 templates. Check out the previews below and click on the images to be taken to the store.

We also created a set of 12x12 QPs for you. The pages are sold separately.
