Greetings from...blog train

Happy Wednesday evening! It's been a really, really long day for me. I didn't sleep well last night, was up super early (about 4:30 am), and spent about 11 hours away from home--most of it on the road. The good news is that I'm back home safe & sound.

I'm taking part in this month's Stuff to Scrap blog train, Greetings From... Here's the preview of what you get from me: six papers, ten elements, and one alpha. The alpha includes two crinkled paper tags on which you can place your letters. I know that some people don't want their alpha on tags. Also, I've included the alpha in individual files, as well as in full sheets, for those who prefer things that way.

Below is the list of the rest of the designers taking part in this month's blog train. If someone doesn't have their portion of the train posted, please check back; we are spread out across the globe. Also be sure to snag the portions you want by the 15th. After that date, designers are free to put their portion in their store(s). My portion of the blog train will remain free until July 30.

Boys & Girls of Summer: The alpha

I was hoping to get this post written last night but that didn't happen. I had a really busy night and have a very busy day today, so this will be a really brief post.
Remember, if you've missed any portion of this kit, it's available for only $2.00 this week in my store at Stuff to Scrap.
Today you get the alphas for our kits. I apologize that I've had to put them on 4shared as I know there are some long waiting times there lately. I've contacted 4shared about the long wait times and the re-loading issues that some people seem to have; if and when I get a response, I'll share that here.

See you tomorrow morning with some more eye candy and some additional kit goodies from my CT. Have a great day and happy scrapping!

Summer Cleaning Sale!

Every so often, you need to do some cleaning. My store at Stuff to Scrap is no exception. I'm having a little summer cleaning sale and retiring a few of my older kits. They're 50% off and will only be available for a few more days. Be sure to get them while you still can! (Image is linked to the store.)

Boys & Girls of Summer collab

Hello there! Have you missed me? It seems like forever since I had goodies to share with you. I've been really busy. Part of the trouble is it that I love summer here in Minnesota. I want to soak up every last second of it since it doesn't last forever.

I've been busy designing, too. At last count, I had six kits in various stages (concept, color scheme, papers done, elements done, needs an alpha, etc.). Don't worry--you'll be seeing lots of new stuff from me in the coming weeks.

Today, I'm introducing my newest kit, Boys & Girls of Summer to you. Kat, of the The Scrappy Kat, and I teamed up to bring you a super duper fun kit that's summer themed with a focus on the kids. It features all sorts of great summer stuff--pools, slides, swings, buckets & pails, wagons, and bikes--in a great color scheme that works for all sorts of pictures.

My CT did a great job showing just how versatile this kit is. Check out some of their layouts; there will be more to share with you throughout the week.

Here's a preview of the entire kit you can collect over the next couple of days. (Not all elements are shown in the preview.) You'll need to stop by each day and collect the kit as each download will only be available for 24 hours as a freebie.
And here's a preview of the portion you'll be getting today, the papers.

See you tomorrow with the second portion of this kit, the elements. Have a great day and happy scrapping!

June Use it or Lose It Challenge

Each month, the designers at Stuff to Scrap take turns hosting our challenges. One of the challenges is called Use It or Lose It. A designer creates a mini-kit containing a few papers and elements. Your task is to create a layout in which you use EVERYTHING in the mini; you get 15 points for completing the challenge. When you accumulate 500 points, you get a $5.00 gift certificate to the store!

Why am I mentioning this? Because I'm hosting the Use It or Lose It Challenge this month and created a mini called Rustic Fun. It's part of what will be a larger kit (coming out sometime this fall) that will include cowboys, cowgirls, horses, lassos, etc. Until that comes out, you've got the mini to keep you occupied. (Image is linked to the store.)
Have fun creating those layouts--I can't wait to see what you do with it!

65 Red Roses Charity Kit

A few weeks ago, Colleen, of Rainamoon Scraps, asked the other designers at Stuff to Scrap if we would be interested in contributing to a charity kit in memory of Eva Markvoort. Eva was the subject of a documentary called 65 Red Roses which chronicled her battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Eva loved the colour red and was well known for wearing the vibrant shade in her hair. Every cent of the proceeds from this kit goes to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to keep fighting to find a cure.

Thirteen designers, including myself, came together for this one and created a mega-kit filled with 50 papers, 94 elements, and 2 full alphas. Designers include Nibbles Skribbles, Scrappin' Serenity, Growing Pains Scrapped, Jenasis Designs, Mommy Me Time Scrapper, Rainamoon Scraps, SAHM Scrapper, Scrapteam 2008, Scraps 'n Pieces, Scraps of Ellay, The Scrappy Kat, Seal Scraps, and me.

Here are previews of the kit (all images are linked to the store):

Summer Days

Can you believe it's June already? And though summer doesn't officially start until June 21, it's felt like summer here for a few weeks--and I love it.

This month, the designers at Stuff to Scrap came together to create a summer kit that is chock-full of goodies to help you scrap those pictures you've taken (or will take) of your summer adventures. Summer Days includes 83 papers, 134 elements, and 2 full alphas. Check out the previews (images are linked to the store):

We've also created a set of QPs for you. The QPs are sold separately. BUT--if you buy $10.00 or more (in one order), you get the QPs free with your order!

It's $2.00 Tuesday at Stuff to Scrap. This week, I'm offering Angela's Wedding, Daddy & Me, and Sail Away for $2.00. Stop by and check them out. (Images are linked.)

Build a Kit: Simple Pleasures

Each month the designers at Stuff to Scrap create mini-kits, alphas, and QPs using the same palette and all priced at $1.99. This month, I created a mini kit I called Simple Pleasures because the colors reminded me of the simple pleasures of daily life. Check out the preview:If you'd like to see all of this month's offerings, click on the flyer to be taken to the Build a Kit portion of the store at Stuff to Scrap.
