Christmas Love

Happy December 1st! Here in Minnesota, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. We got about 4 inches of powdery white snow last night. When I looked out my window this morning, I couldn't believe how beautiful everything looked. Driving in it isn't that much fun but they're doing a good job getting the roads cleared and treated.

This month's blog train for Stuff to Scrap is called Christmas Love. I've seen previews of all the portions you can collect on the blog train and there are some great goodies for you this month. I decided to create a template that you could use to scrap pictures of your holiday memories. The download includes .psd, .png, and .tif files; no matter what program you use to scrap, you'll be able to use this template. (Although I didn't create a mini for this month's blog train, you can still pick up my Blue Christmas mini-kit here.)

Here is the list of the rest of the designers taking part in this month's blog train. If a designer doesn't have her portion posted yet, please check back as we're spread out across the globe. Also, be sure to grab each portion by the 15th of the month. After the 15th, designers are free to put their potion of the blog train into their store(s). My template will remain available until the end of December. Happy collecting!

Giving thanks

This Thursday is Thanksgiving Day, at least here in the United States. Though this past year has been a very trying one at times, I have a lot to be thankful for--including that I have so many wonderful readers and fans of my blog. The love, support, encouragement, and kind words you've shared with me this past year have meant a lot to me--more than you could possibly know.

To show my appreciation to you, I whipped together a quick page from my Fall Harvest mini-kit (no longer available). Enjoy!

Blue Christmas mini-kit

Happy Birthday Ginger!

Today one of my friends reminded me that there are only 40 days until Christmas (my favorite holiday). I haven't even started my shopping yet! Yikes.

The Twin Cities area got more than 10 inches of snow on Saturday, and the roads were treacherous so I stayed home and declared it a snow day. I hadn't designed anything new in a while and decided to see what was going on in the forums at some of my favorite sites, including Stuff to Scrap. I checked out the November Color Challenge; the song "Blue Christmas" popped into my head and I ran with it. The end result: a mini-kit with seven papers (four patterned, three solid cardstock) and thirteen elements. I kept it fun and a little bit funky. I can't wait to see what you do with it.

That reminds me: I always love seeing what people do with my kits. If you've created a layout, card, or hybrid project with one of my kits, please send me a link to your blog or layout. Your creativity and skills never cease to amaze and inspire me.

Happy International Digital Scrapbooking Day!

Happy International Digital Scrapbooking Day! Have you had a chance to check out all the great sales and activities taking place this weekend? I've got my eye on a few things here and there and am hoping to take part in a speed scrap or chat this weekend. Hopefully my schedule will allow me to do that.

Although I'm currently not selling my designs anywhere, I will occasionally have some templates, mini kits, quick pages, brag book pages, layouts, etc. to share with you. Today is one of those days. I created two 5x7 brag book page templates for you to use in preserving your memories. The .zip files includes .psd, .png, and .tif files.

And while you're here, please vote on the poll at the top of the page. It only takes a minute and I really appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

The Orient blog train

It's time for another mega blog train! The theme this time around is "The Orient" and with nearly 100 designers taking part, you'll want to make sure you have room on your EHD for all the goodies.

You most likely arrived here from Designs by Angel.

Here's the preview of my part (3 papers, 6 elements).
